A school-age child care program may not refuse to admit a child to the program solely because the child has a developmental delay or a disability or has been diagnosed as having human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), HIV-related illness or acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Each such child must be evaluated by the program to determine whether the child could be accommodated in the program if reasonable modifications are made to the premises and/or program. Nothing contained in section 414.11 shall be deemed to require the program to incur significant additional expenses to modify the premises and/or program to accommodate such a child.
